A Gaggle of Geese and Ganders

So the other day I decided to make a post every night before bed. Last night I didn't do that. I guess I'm not very good at doing what I say I'm going to do, huh?

Well I replaced the phone I accidentally bricked, so thats a good thing. ordered an otterbox case so it won't get damaged anymore. :D

Playing Magic the Gathering at 2 in the morning is pretty fun, especially when you're playing with someone who hasn't played in 10 years and has a deck that isn't as powerful as yours. HAHAHA! I win 3-0. I'm sure next time we battle things will be very different, because he'll trick out his deck with some cards to beat me.

God Muncie is so borring. There is nothing to do here, unless you like to party, which im not too big on. It's kind of depressing.

I found this video today. It's been making me laugh so hard all day. definitely check it out. :D

More Things about Mo-nay and To-Day

From now on, I think I'm going to try to make a post every night before I drift off into dreamland. It's a good way so sum up my day and inform all of you the goings on in my life. (Even though I'm sure you could care less.)

Today wasn't a bad day, but it wasn't too good either. I mostly sat around all day, on the Internet like usual. Talked with the girlfriend on skype all day, so that was nice. I ate some delicious bleu cheese and celery today. God is that a good combination. Also pizza bagels. Those are the shit. :D Man, just thinking about them got me hungry again...but I've already brushed my teeth for the night, so none of that.

After that post yesterday about watches I stumbled upon a great watch deal today.
20 Bucks! can you believe it???
DailySteals had this awesome watch on sale today. It looks pretty sexy, not gonna lie. Not as nice as those Movado's do, but still really nice.

I picked up some gifts for valentines day for the lady. Its nice not to be forever alone anymore. I quite like it, despite the amount of money i spend because of her. Its definitely worth every cent. :D

I hope the humble indie bundle 5 releases soon; I could use more games. I still havent beat cave story or any of the other games I downloaded from the last one, but I love their bundles. :] My favourite so far was VVVVVV, an awesome but impossible game that everyone should play RIGHT NOW

Its available almost everywhere and Its so simple. 3 buttons. Left, Right, and Flip. Its incredibly easy to die in this game, so dont think you're just terrible. :D

Here's a demo, and Here's where you can buy it on steam. DO IT. IT'S AWESOME.

That's it for today. Al's feet are sayin'

Goodbye

Money is the root of all cool things.

I've been trying to get a job here in muncie since I started college, but whenever someone's hiring I dont even get a call after i apply. no, "sorry we filled the spot" or "sorry you weren't qualified" nothing. absolutely, nothing. it makes me so mad. at least have the common curtesy to tell me the result of my application, dont just ignore me. GRAHHH.

On a more positive note, I earn about 150 bucks a month from biolife by donating plasma, so that isn't too bad. :D I should probably start doing that again. Maybe I will tomorrow.

I really want to get myself a new watch. The one I have now, while it's not bad, I would like something better. The black finish is wearing off and it's looking dated (no pun intended). (okay that was a bad joke. but still...) I dont know what I should get though, I like black sleek watches, and I really love Movado watches, but they are WAAAAAAY out of my price range. They certainly look sexy though. My Armitron is a cheap imitation of what they look like, and even though I love how my watch looks, I can't help but be jealous.
Just look at how damn sexy this thing is.

I love that watch. I don't love it's price tag however. 1,600 is just not in my wallet right now. That's all the money I have in checking AND savings. Not happening anytime soon. Unless someone wants to give me a very generous donation. (but I seriously doubt that, and even if I had that much, it would go to three things. 1. Car fund 2. savings and 3. Girlfriend. :D)

Oh well. My watch is still ticking, and I'm okay with that.

Atrocious

Pharmacists Who Suck at Their Job Tell Teens They Can't Have Morning-After Pill [Plan B]

Read this link for me would you? Go ahead ill give you time.....

Now, can anyone tell me how lying to kids just so they uphold their own skewed moral beliefs is legal, and better yet, how misinformation like this is even permitted in the workplace? Oh that's right, because their boss is probably operating on the same moral compass.

I just can't believe that people would do this. Maybe they're just dumb? I don't know. But its outrageous and I wont stand for it. Its just not fair to do that to someone. They are trying to be responsible for their actions and fix what they've done, but you're dooming them to a horrible life because you have a personal moral vendetta against people having sex underage? Get over it! People are having sex at 14 and 15, and even if it was legal for them, I bet you you'd be lying to them too!

That just makes me mad. I hate when people do things like this. Its just not in the best interest for humanity. You're not being nice to your fellow human, which is two of your commandments broken. (Well the golden rule and lying)

I was going to end this post with some more joyous news, but now I can't even think of any, im just so mad.

The road

As I listen to Imogen heap and listen to people blasting their music as the roar down the road at 45mph on at 20 mph road, I sit and wonder to myself,  why do I do the things I do? I don't understand what drives people to motivated. My best friend Grant is an architecture major, and he works his ass off every day if the week. I barely have any homework, when I do its really easy, yet I rarely do it. I don't know how people find that within themselves to get things done. I've never been much for the future, as in I've never really been able to link my present actions to future consequences. I see what would happen, I know the consequences, they just don't motivate me like they should. Is that a problem with me, or is everyone like that and they just push through it?

Sometimes (okay almost all the time) I wish I could read other people's minds. Not to steal their secrets or anything sinister, but just to see how other people think; to see just how similar or different we all are. I want to know what other people think of the world, of themselves and of their problems. I want to be in touch with everyone on that personal level.

Well that's enough brain-spew for one night. Enjoy your morning/night. :]

I can't believe it.

Today I dropped my phone into the shower. I had it sitting in the corner and then someone had to call me and it vibrated of it's perfect perch into the water. Fortunately, I got a kit from ifixit that took my phone apart in a few minutes. It wasn't too wet, but I let it dry for a few hours and now it works fine. :D

I try not to put too many ads on this blog. I hate it on other blogs how theres 200 ads per blog. I put all mine at the bottom so if you dont want to see them then you dont have to. :]

To anyone who hasn't heard of him, definitely check out Steve Byrne. He's brilliant and hilarious. heres some of my favourites. He's made 2 hour long movies, and they're both available for streaming on Netflix so go watch them. The bits on youtube are really funny, but the actual video is even funnier.

ENJOY!

Just a little Post about the media.

How long has it been since the media shut down napster? Like 15 years? Well after 15 years or so we finally have a good replacement for it. Rdio, and Spotify are really nice freemium services that give the people what they want, music. The only reason the media was against napster was because they weren't making enough money from it, and the reason they never came out with something like it is because they couldn't figure out how to profit from it. Now streaming services are popping up everywhere, and frankly I'm not excited about it. I'd rather have my own copy of the media, movie or music. Because in 5 years when things change or Rdio goes out of business or Spotify gets too expensive, what do you have? several thousand dollars down the drain, and no library of songs/movies to show for it.

I love having an almost 100GB music library. It makes me happy that I can listen to whatever genre I want, whenever I want. thats also why I love google Music, because it stores all my songs, without ads, for free. Even if it wasn't free, I'd still use it, because i couldn't go without my music for one day.

Hopefully the media will get it's head out of it's ass and start doing things the people want instead of doing things purely for money. The streaming services are a good start, but not enough.

Also, I somehow have 23 pageviews and I'm really not sure how that happened. I havent even advertised this blog at all. :O But thanks for reading anyway!

Yesterday :D

Lots of things have been happening recently. It always seem like when one bad thing happens, more happen right after it, and then when things start to get good, more bad things happen. oh well. so is life.

Yesterday was internet blackout day and as of right now support has changed from 80/30 (for/against) to 65/102 and several co-supporters have left. So a good day for the internet. Huzzah!

I think the best solution for making congress actually work, would be this:

Put all the unemployed americans that are below the poverty line in office. Get rid of all the people that were raised from birth to be in congress and pay the poor people half their salary, and give them some health care. Now lets see some real change happen. :D

The one to start them all

Well,  I've been thinking about starting a blog for a few months now, but I've never really been sure what to theme it as, or what to say in it. I never thought I would let my ego get the best of me and let me actually post what I was thinking, the random stream of letters and words that flows out of my brain all the time. No one would want to read it, or no one would read it. I dont see why they would. I'm not saying anything new or interesting, just whatever topic my brain is on at the time.

Now thats all changed.

Not really. I still dont think anyone's interested, but I found a reason to post the first one and get going on this whole blogging thing. Its called a rafflecopter, an awesome giveaway engine that requires so little effort from the people entering it. Its really awesome, and I hope anyone that just stumbles across it will enter. :D

As of right now I'm sitting with my girlfriend in the hospital while she recovers from surgery. She keeps falling asleep and its so cute. I really hope she recovers and gets better soon. I'm glad she made it through the operation okay though.

That should do it for my first post. :D
